SPINN release third track from EP, ‘Who You Are’
Running on twin-rails of angular drums and guitar, Who You Are is a swipe at the fakers and haters delivered with sparkling guitars and lyrical wit. The latest track from the Liverpool four-piece SPINN featured on the debut EP out 6th April 2018 on Modern Sky UK.
“Who You Are is a love letter to all the posers of the world” muses lead singer Jonny “I think that everyone is a poser in their own way, like it or not at one point or another we’ve all pretended to be something were not.”
“This isn’t us thinking we’re some supreme beings who are immune to falseness” adds Jonny with typical self-deprecation, “ I mean Andy wears a Beatles wig every day, and I haven’t always been this much of a loser, I used to be much worse..”
Destined to break hearts from Huyton to Brighton, SPINN are purveyors of shimmering dream-pop. Forthcoming EP – produced by Chris McCory of Catholic Action – was brewed on the banks of the Mersey with the very essence of that river’s musical current, and is set for release on 6th April 2018 on Modern Sky UK.
Already online the tracks She Takes Her Time and After Dark have been dazzling the indie blogosphere since the beginning of 2018. Misty eyed and fleet of foot, She Takes Her Time is a shot at romance and a bid for indie-disco stardom, while ‘After Dark’ is break-up song staged beneath the streetlights, soundtracked by duelling guitars.
