Catholic Action release a very merry christmas song, ‘No Angels’

Glaswegian Glam-Rockers, Catholic Action, are releasing their very own Christmas single, ‘No Angels’, today.

The track is also coming with a special Christmas mix of their album’s track, ‘New Year’, from debut, ‘In Memory Of’.

‘No Angels’, is a fun and, quintessentially, British take on the festive time of year. As singer McCrory, croons, “You can’t have sex at Christmas, can’t make love or screw, you can’t have sex at Christmas, television and food”, you can’t help but agree.

It’s been a fantastic year for the band, with a debut album released, constant flow of radio support from Huw Stephens, and being announced for SXSW next year. What better way for the band to celebrate than releasing a song full of tongue-in-cheek Christmas cheer.

Of the track, frontman, Chris McCrory, said: “You can’t listen to as much 70s music without harbouring a massive desire to write a Christmas song… It’s something we’ve always wanted to do as a band but never have. However, when Noddy Holder walked passed us in the street in Edinburgh last year, just after we’d spoke about doing it – we took that as a sign from above. Next year we would write and record a Christmas single! And would you look at that, we’ve made you a Christmas B-side too from one of our album tracks!”
