The Lathums are the future of indie music and are already shaping the music scene. Their most successful song to date, ‘The Great Escape’, which mixed with their professional songwriting and Alex Moore’s angelic vocals gives the audience little choice but to listen to them on repeat.
The band are great friends and already in their early music careers have gained a huge foothold on the industry ladder, with Blossoms recently announcing them as supports for their upcoming third album tour and a main stage slot at Sound City music festival being announced.
The four members Alex Moore (vocalist & rhythm guitarist), Scott Concepcion (Lead guitarist), Johnny Cunliffe (bassist) and Ryan Durrans (Drummer) are all only 18 years old so have amazing potential, being at this stage in their career and having this much attention from fans and labels can only mean they are on the way to major success in their future. Alex Moore’s “Magic book of lyrics” are often praised for their early success.
Their most recent release is their EP self titled ‘The Lathums’ which includes ‘The Great Escape’ that is currently nearing the 300k stream mark on Spotify and has previously been This Feeling’s track of the day and Manchester XS song of the week. This is followed by ‘This place O yours’ and ‘Artificial Screens’ which are very close to hitting 100k streams.
There is serious potential for the future of The Lathums and don’t be surprised if we see them headlining some major festivals in the near future.
